About the Artist
I have been an artist as long as I can remember. I make custom-designed and one-of-a-kind items. My studio is in Victoria, on the beautiful West Coast of Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada.
Art is in my family! My great-grandfather was a studio painter for the Pre-Raphaelite artist and designer Sir Edward Coley Burne-Jones, and I hold an Associate Degree from the Inchbald School of Design in London, England.
My family came from the east coast of Yorkshire where many Viking raids took place, and my Scandinavian heritage led me to explore the ancient wire art of Viking Knit, which became a passion!
I weave in brass, copper, silver plate and sterling silver. I also incorporate semi-precious gems and Swarovski crystal into my creations, and I'm driven to play with colour and texture!
